Hello All Theology (and Religion in general) and Pop Culture Lovers!<\/p>\n
There is no doubt that pop culture mediums have challenged and inspired us in the best of ways.<\/p>\n
\u0398eoCon welcomes you to the place where theology and morality meet pop culture and where faith meets fiction. In a comic-con style venue, \u0398eoCon will offer you a chance to explore connections between speculative fiction, fandoms and pop culture, and how myths make meaning in today\u2019s world!<\/p>\n
Last year, \u0398eoCon launched its initial meeting at\u00a0Virginia Theological Seminary<\/a>\u00a0(VTS) in Alexandria, VA (read brief reviews\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0here<\/a>). Due to some remodeling at VTS, we have sought a new venue, and\u00a0Messiah College<\/a>\u00a0in Harrisburg, PA has opened its doors to us (thank you!) for 2019 (TBD for 2020).<\/p>\n
Fans, podcasters, academics, and any other lovers of Theology and Pop Culture I have neglected to mention are welcome to submit proposals for our plenary sessions. This event is both interreligious and ecumenical.<\/p>\n
Proposals are due by July 31.<\/p>\n
