Many are atheist and similar blogs, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/friendlyatheist\/2012\/03\/05\/christian-pastor-knows-exactly-why-those-tornadoes-devastated-indiana\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Hemant Mehta<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/agod-sizedpuzzle.blogspot.com\/2012\/03\/its-not-anybodys-fault.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">A God-Sized Puzzle<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atheistrev.com\/2012\/03\/when-your-neighbor-house-is-destroyed.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Atheist Revolution<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skeptic.com\/doubtful-news\/pat-robertson-says-tornadoes-are-your-fault\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Skepticcom+%28Skeptic.com%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Skeptic<\/a>. Fortunately some Christian blogs, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/matthewpaulturner.net\/jesus-needs-new-pr\/john-piper-twister-theology\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MatthewPaulTurner+%28MATTHEW+PAUL+TURNER+%E2%9C%AA%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Matthew Paul Turner<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetmonk.com\/archive\/otd-obsessed-with-tornadoes-disorder\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Internet Monk<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/homebrewedchristianity.com\/2012\/03\/05\/is-it-tough-to-blame-john-piper-for-his-tornado-theology\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bo Sanders<\/a> offer criticisms of these folks from a Christian perspective, so that it does not seem like merely outsiders who criticize the theological devastation caused by these out of control whirlwinds of pastoral hot air.<\/p>\n<p>When people like Pat Robertson say things like this (getting so close, recognizing meteorological causes, then blaming it on among other things a lack of storm-stilling faith)\u2026<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Robertson: Prayer Could Have Stopped the Tornadoes\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rSp7fzgCuqI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<p>\u2026I will simply point out once again that the impression they give of God is still this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.memegenerator.net\/instances\/400x\/15756272.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<p>And even to the extent that Pat Robertson explicitly rejects the idea of God sending tornadoes, I still imagine God as understood by most Christians addressing Pat Robertson in this way, in response to what he did say:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.memegenerator.net\/instances\/400x\/15756465.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A lot of people are responding to comments by people such as Pat Robertson and John Piper about recent tornados causing devastation in Indiana and elsewhere.
