H\u00e4berl is to be thanked for having brought all the tools of modern field linguistics and his wide understanding of general linguistics to clarify many of the basic issues in the phonology, morphology and syntax of this precious survival of Southern Babylonian Aramaic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jss.oxfordjournals.org\/content\/57\/1\/182.short?rss=1\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The review is by Matthew Morgenstern and it just appeared in the <em>Journal of Semitic Studies<\/em>.
