UPDATE: <a href=\"http:\/\/robertcargill.com\/2012\/04\/04\/in-search-of-the-historical-charlesworth-and-the-difference-between-a-mention-and-an-endorsement\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">He also addressed the appeals to James Charlesworth in support of particular interpretations of the inscription and other evidence from the Talpiot tombs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ntmark.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/02\/when-in-rome\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mentioning the Talpiot tombs, Mike Kok segues from there to catacombs in Rome and then the question of whether Peter ever went there<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/larryhurtado.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/02\/the-earliest-christian-graffito\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Larry Hurtado talked about more likely candidates to be the earliest Christian graffiti<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/homebrewedchristianity.com\/2012\/04\/03\/bart-ehrman-on-jesus-existence-apocalypticism-holy-week\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HomebrewedChristianity+%28Homebrewed+Christianity%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tripp Fuller does a podcast with Bart Ehrman about his latest book, <em>Did Jesus Exist?<\/em><\/a> I\u2019m delighted to say that I\u2019ve started reading the book and will be blogging about it in the near future myself.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/whyevolutionistrue.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/04\/more-on-bart-ehrmans-new-book-about-jesus\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jerry Coyne posted a second time on Ehrman\u2019s book, still not having read it. But he sagely suspends judgment rather than weigh in on a topic about which he has no expertise<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/04\/03\/did-jesus-exist-bart-ehrman_n_1400465.html?ref=religion\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">He is largely reacting to a <em>Huffington Post<\/em> piece the headline of which describes Ehrman as \u201csympathetic\u201d towards Jesus \u2013 which is very odd indeed<\/a> if one reads the rest of the article.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thebiblicalworld.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/did-jesus-exist.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">John Byron and<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/donrogers.org\/?p=2190\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Don Rogers also blogged about Bart Ehrman\u2019s book on Jesus mythicism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nearemmaus.com\/2012\/04\/03\/ehrman-is-omnipresent\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Brian LePort got the impression that Bart Ehrman is omnipresent<\/a>. I suspect that he may be mistaking him for someone else\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.skeptic.com\/doubtful-news\/jesus-fish-purple-pareidolia\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Skepticcom+%28Skeptic.com%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">In almost entirely unrelated news, <em>Skeptic<\/em> featured a different sort of \u201cJesus fish.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-FBJEK1Kt3Co\/T2UomvuTRfI\/AAAAAAAAAkg\/sUQfNEeR_Us\/s1600\/45.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"394\"><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mark Goodacre had a busier blogging day than we\u2019ve seen from him in a long time, discussing both the evidence that ossuaries in Talpiot tomb B (the \u201cpatio tomb\u201d) had been moved around, and seeming discrepancies between information from James Tabor and Simcha Jacobovici on the one hand, and James Charlesworth on the other.
