Here\u2019s what\u2019s been appearing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/bibleandculture\/2012\/04\/17\/richard-bauckham-on-the-patio-tomb-inscriptions\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">in the blogosphere<\/a> since my last round-up on the topic:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ntweblog.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/do-lines-in-fish-head-spell-out-jonah.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MarkGoodacresNTBlog+%28Mark+Goodacre%27s+NT+Blog%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/bobcargill.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/nun_marked_up.jpg?w=468&amp;h=358\" alt=\"\" width=\"281\" height=\"215\">Mark Goodacre shows problems with the claim that Jonah\u2019s name appears on an ossuary in the Talpiot patio tomb<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/ntweblog.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/how-half-fish-became-vase-and-why-it.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MarkGoodacresNTBlog+%28Mark+Goodacre%27s+NT+Blog%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">He also discusses the transformation of a vase into a fish<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/robertcargill.com\/2012\/04\/20\/when-is-a-nun-not-a-nun\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bob Cargill took Mark\u2019s point further and added additional images analyzing the marks on the ossuary<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/paleojudaica.blogspot.com\/2012_04_15_archive.html#464933757230947409\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jim Davila also blogged about the subject<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ralphriver.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/is-there-name-on-talpiot-ossuary.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">as did Edward Cook<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.antoniolombatti.it\/B\/Blog01-12\/Voci\/2012\/4\/20_Is_YONAH_there_or_not.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">and Antonio Lombatti gathered names of scholars and their views on the matter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jamestabor.com\/2012\/04\/19\/inscription-on-the-jonah-image-says-yonah\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">James Tabor makes the case on his blog for finding Jonah\u2019s name in the image on the ossuary<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, various sites such as <a href=\"http:\/\/phys.org\/news\/2012-04-hebrew-inscription-jonah-christian-ancient.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Phys.org<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.livescience.com\/19806-hebrew-inscription-jonah-ossuary.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">LiveScience<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/47117296\/ns\/technology_and_science-science\/#.T5Go9LP8uSo\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">MSNBC<\/a> are hyping these conclusions. <a href=\"http:\/\/robertcargill.com\/2012\/04\/20\/how-to-substitute-press-releases-for-evidence\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bob Cargill describes the alleged evidence they are drawing on as a case of \u201ccircular citations.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/michaelsheiser.com\/PaleoBabble\/2012\/04\/items-talpiot-james-tabor\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Michael Heiser posted on the topic<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/michaelsheiser.com\/TheNakedBible\/2012\/04\/james-tabors-essay-early-christianitys-view-resurrection-review\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">and also on James Tabor\u2019s post about resurrection<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ntmark.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/17\/gospel-posts-around-the-blogs\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mike Kok\u2019s round-up of Gospel posts also touches on the Talpiot tombs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: Since I first posted this round-up, several <a href=\"http:\/\/zwingliusredivivus.wordpress.com\/2012\/04\/20\/46579\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">more posts<\/a> have appeared on blogs I read:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/unsettledchristianity.com\/2012\/04\/my-kids-have-better-random-squiggles-than-the-jonah-ossuary\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+unsettledchristianityblog+%28Unsettled+Christianity%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Joel Watts linked<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeslittlemysteries.com\/2377-christian-ossuary-random-squiggles.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a post at Life\u2019s Little Mysteries suggesting that the alleged inscription of the name Jonah is just random squiggles<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/unsettledchristianity.com\/2012\/04\/why-is-it-if-the-tomb-does-doubtful-picture-jonah-that-it-points-to-christianity\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+unsettledchristianityblog+%28Unsettled+Christianity%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Joel also responded<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/forbiddengospels.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/patio-tomb-box-and-fish.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a post by April de Conick, leaning in the direction of seeing Jonah on the ossuary and viewing it as symbolic of the resurrection<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/aramaicdesigns.blogspot.com\/2012\/04\/unfaithful-representation.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Finally, Steve Caruso has a lengthy post with lots of pictures indicating where images that have been circulating of the ossuaries and inscriptions have been altered in some
