One issue that needs <i>more <\/i>attention\u00a0is that of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidehighered.com\/news\/2010\/11\/18\/videos\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">classes being secretly recorded, and\/or videos of classes being edited so as to misrepresent what transpired<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A good sign that Academia.edu is catching on is that <a href=\"http:\/\/bradmatthies.wordpress.com\/2010\/11\/18\/researchgate\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">it now has a competitor<\/a> \u2013 one presumably aimed only at younger scholars, since to older ones it will sound like it is devoted to a scholarly <i>scandal<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<i>Inside Higher Ed<\/i> has an article on issues of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidehighered.com\/news\/2010\/11\/17\/cheating\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">academic honesty, technology, and generational divides<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>New Scientist<\/i> has an article on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/blogs\/culturelab\/2010\/11\/storytelling-20-open-your-books-to-augmented-reality.html?DCMP=OTC-rss&amp;nsref=online-news\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">how technology is transforming \u2013 and enhancing \u2013 the book<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blogger-post-footer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/tracker\/7622297540113836091-6309272070632510200?l=exploringourmatrix.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Stoa Consortium shares evidence that open access scholarship gets cited more frequently in other scholarly literature \u2013 yet one more argument in its favor.
