href=\"http:\/\/robertcargill.com\/2012\/05\/13\/imagine-that-picture-of-you-protesting-same-sex-marriage-40-years-from-now-you-are-those-people\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bob Cargill made this image and shared some reflections on it<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" of same-sex marriage must be personal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetmonk.com\/archive\/what-does-the-bible-actually-say-about-homosexuality\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Chaplain Mike blogged about what the Bible does and does not say about homosexuality<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/religion.blogs.cnn.com\/2012\/05\/15\/my-take-what-the-bible-really-says-about-homosexuality\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">I felt he did a much better job than Daniel Helminiak\u2019s recent piece<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/religion.blogs.cnn.com\/2012\/05\/19\/my-take-the-christian-case-for-gay-marriage\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><\/a><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-7863\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/religionprof\/2012\/05\/christianity-and-same-gender-relationships-around-the-blogosphere.html\/already-redefined-marriage\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7863\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/exploringourmatrix\/files\/2012\/05\/already-redefined-marriage.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"138\"><\/a>Mark Osler offered a Christian case for gay marriage. <a href=\"http:\/\/religion.blogs.cnn.com\/2012\/05\/21\/my-take-the-bible-condemns-a-lot-but-heres-why-we-focus-on-homosexuality\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Al Mohler tried to pretend that he and others like him focus equally on adultery, injustice, and other issues along with homosexuality, as well as citing the account of Peter\u2019s vision in Acts without realizing that the claim that the ritual code of the Jewish Law was being set aside was embraced by Christians before those writings in which the case was made were considered Scripture<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/slacktivist\/2012\/05\/21\/al-mohler-says-the-apostle-peter-was-wrong-and-thats-why-evangelicals-should-focus-on-homosexuality\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Fred Clark offered a response to Mohler that highlights the real message of Peter\u2019s vision in Acts, thus exposing one of many<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.episcopalcafe.com\/lead\/marriage_equality\/peter_and_the_shellfish_argume.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+episcopalcafe%2Flead+%28The+Lead%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">problems with Mohler\u2019s reasoning<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/zwingliusredivivus.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/22\/al-mohler-and-too-many-so-called-southern-baptists-have-abandoned-their-sbc-heritage\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jim West accused Mohler and the SBC of abandoning their Baptist heritage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a Guyton blogged about the sons of hell and the black hole of damning<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/young.anabaptistradicals.org\/2012\/05\/20\/final-judgment-a-parable\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Young Anabaptist Radicals offered a parable of the last judgment relevant to this topic and many others<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\">including John Shore<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/homebrewedchristianity.com\/2012\/05\/23\/is-this-even-christianity\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HomebrewedChristianity+%28Homebrewed+Christianity%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bo Sanders<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/slacktivist\/2012\/05\/24\/exposing-the-shameful-secrets-of-charles-worleys-fundamentalism\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Fred Clark<\/a>, <a Catholic Church to rethink its stance on<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.episcopalcafe.com\/lead\/sexuality\/catholic_archbishop_reported_t_1.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+episcopalcafe%2Flead+%28The+Lead%29&amp;utm_content=Google+Reader\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the topic of same-sex relationships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/unequallyyoked\/2012\/05\/go-ahead-tell-me-whats-wrong-with-homosexuality.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Leah Libresco asks what if anything is really wrong with same sex marriage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/friendlyatheist\/2012\/05\/16\/dont-use-the-bible-to-justify-your-homophobia-when-there-are-other-reasons\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Hemant Mehta shared a cartoon about whether the Bible or something else is at the heart of Christian homophobia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/donrogers.org\/?p=2286\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Don Rogers offered this thought<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>IF<\/strong> the essence of\u00a0Jesus is summed up in words that John\u2019s Gospel attributes to him, \u201cI have come that they may have life and have it abundantly,\u201d then our choice is clear.\u00a0<strong>Homophobia<\/strong> diminishes life; it does not make it more abundant.
