I was made aware of this call for chapter proposals (via H-Net<\/a> and Call for Papers<\/a>) which I will resist the temptation to pursue, but I am sure others I know will jump at:<\/p>\n

Russell T\u00a0Davies\u00a0has been one of the foremost voices in British television for the last three decades. The range of\u00a0Davies\u2019s work is formidable \u2013 from his early work on children\u2019s television such as\u00a0Dark Season\u00a0<\/em>(1991) and\u00a0Century Falls\u00a0<\/em>(1993), to his ground-breaking work creating programmes such as\u00a0Queer as Folk\u00a0<\/em>(1999-2000),\u00a0Bob and Rose\u00a0<\/em>(2001),\u00a0The Second Coming\u00a0<\/em>(2003) and\u00a0Mine All Mine<\/em>\u00a0(2004), to his phenomenally successful rejuvenation of\u00a0Doctor Who<\/em>\u00a0(2005), through to his more recent work such as\u00a0Cucumber\u00a0<\/em>(2015),\u00a0Years and Years\u00a0<\/em>(2019) and\u00a0It\u2019s a Sin<\/em>\u00a0(2021). In the process, he has indelibly transformed the British televisual landscape.<\/p>\n

The proposed volume will be the first major, book-length scholarly appraisal of his works. We are looking for 6000\u20137000-word chapters on any aspect of Russell T.\u00a0Daviesand his work. Innovative, interdisciplinary, and comparative approaches are encouraged. Possible topics may include:<\/p>\n
