\"\"<\/a>Don Burrows<\/a> clarifies the difference between absurd media claims and what Karen King and other scholars are saying.<\/p>\n

Craig Evans<\/a> offers thoughts on the meaning of the word for \u201cwife\u201d in Coptic both generally and in this context.<\/p>\n

Chuck Grantham<\/a> provides a useful list of other previously-known texts that this new fragment reminds scholars of.<\/p>\n

James Martin<\/a> reflects on the possibility of Jesus having been married and his life of\u00a0celibacy\u00a0as a Jesuit (via The Lead<\/a>\u00a0and Tim Suttle<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Smithsonian Channel<\/a> will have a TV special about the fragment airing September 30th.<\/p>\n

Finally, the most amusing suggestion for what might have followed the words \u201cJesus said, \u2018My wife\u2026'\u201d comes from biologist Jerry Coyne<\/a>: \u201c. . . is unable to bear children because, being haploid, I am unable to produce sperm.\u201d<\/p>\n
