TheoFantastique<\/a> and Political Jesus<\/a> shared a video<\/a> as well as some links related to a classic trope in both religion and sci-fi<\/a>: the impregnation of a woman with a child from another world<\/a>:<\/p>\n<\/iframe>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/2011\/07\/29\/pregnancy-porn-alien-impregnation-in-science-fiction\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Elsewhere<\/a> in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.science20.com\/countering_tackling_woo\/stargate_belief_systems_and_misguided_assumption_truth_will_set_them_free-81214\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">realm<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfsignal.com\/archives\/2011\/07\/sf-tidbits-for-73111\/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Sfsignal+%28SFSignal%29\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">sci-fi<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/politicaljesus.com\/2011\/07\/31\/sunday-funnies-doctor-who-joins-the-fourth-quest-for-the-historical-jesus\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Rod of Alexandria also posted a farcical account of the most famous time lord bringing the fourth quest for the historical Jesus to an end<\/a>. <\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemeetsreligion.org\/theology\/deceiver.php\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">A post by David Bailey also fits under this heading<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemeetsreligion.org\/blog\/2011\/07\/supernovas-and-god-the-great-deceiver-theology\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">since it addresses the way young-earth creationism depicts God as not merely an author of fiction but as a deceiver<\/a>.<\/p>\nOn a related note, the book I edited, Religion and Science Fiction<\/em>, will be available soon!
