Here\u2019s how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecatholicthing.org\/columns\/2011\/analogies-and-the-death-of-bin-laden.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">it begins<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>N. T. Wright, former Anglican Bishop of Durham, is one of the foremost theologians and biblical scholars in the world. Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St. Andrews, his work on the doctrine of justification, controversial among Evangelical<a href=\"https:\/\/wp.patheos.com\/community\/sites\/50\/2011\/05\/35.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1147\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.patheos.com\/community\/sites\/50\/2011\/05\/35-253x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"253\" height=\"300\"><\/a> Protestants, is in many ways remarkably close to the Catholic view. For this reason, Professor Wright\u2019s work, much to his chagrin, has been instrumental in leading\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.calledtocommunion.com\/2009\/11\/ten-questions-for-n-t-wright-regarding-catholicism-justification-and-the-church\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">some former Anglicans<\/span><\/a> to the Catholic Church. I have long been an admirer of the former bishop, and have learned much from his impressive and compelling scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, however, Professor Wright ventured from the confines of his expertise and into the field of international relations, arguing that the United States had acted unjustly in its successful finding and killing of Osama Bin Laden on May 1 in Pakistan.
