The session will feature an Interview with\u00a0Dr. Johnny Bernard Hill<\/span>\u00a0on the release of\u00a0Prophetic Rage: A\u00a0<\/span>Postcolonial Theology of Liberation<\/span>, in dialogue with leading theologians and activists on the nature of prophetic Christian witness in today\u2019s context.\u00a0 From \u201cStand Your Ground Laws\u201d to the issue of \u201cmass incarceration,\u201d what does it mean to stand for truth in a post-civil rights, world of imperialism and violence?\u00a0 What does it mean to engage in the task of liberation theology in the age of Obama? Drawing on the history and legacy of black liberation theology and black religious studies across the Diaspora, as well as the broader global liberationist tradition, Jamye Wooten of\u00a0Kineticscom.com<\/a>\u00a0will moderate an open forum on prophetic theology and witness, reflecting on Hill\u2019s constructive theological treatment of liberation and prophetic action today.<\/span><\/div>\n
