<\/a>The African American Communication and Culture Division (AACCD) of the National Communication Association (NCA)\u00a0<\/span>selected Dr. Andre E. Johnson\u2019s book The Forgotten Prophet: Bishop Henry McNeal Turner and the African American Prophetic Tradition<\/a><\/span>\u00a0for its 2013 Outstanding Book Award. According to the\u00a0announcement\u00a0letter, the selection committee felt that Dr. Johnson\u2019s work was an \u201coutstanding scholarly contribution to the field of African American discourse\u201d Dr. Johnson will receive the award at the Association\u2019s convention in Washington, DC later this month.\u00a0<\/span>
