R3 editor, Dr. Andre E. Johnson<\/a> will serve as the Inaugural Speaker of the <\/span>Gifts of Life Ministries<\/a> Lunch and Learn Series<\/a> on November 5 at <\/span>12 noon. The church is located at 1542 Jackson Ave. in\u00a0<\/span>Memphis,\u00a0<\/span>Tennessee.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span>Lunch and Learn is a new ministry of the church designed to foster a better understanding of topics that are germane to people in the community. Speakers in this series will typically speak on topics straight from the headlines. Dr. Johnson\u2019s lecture will center on the church\u2019s response to the <\/span>\u201cRise of the Nones.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0While many are not\u00a0<\/span>affiliated<\/span>\u00a0with any religious institution, more than 64% of them would consider themselves spiritual, but not religious. Dr. Johnson will also focus his talk on his forthcoming book, \u201cBeing the Church: Doing the Mission of Jesus.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span>Dr. Johnson is the Associate Professor of Rhetoric & Religion and African American Studies at Memphis\u00a0Theological\u00a0Seminary and Senior Pastor of Gifts of Life Ministries<\/span>
