Listen to sermons throughout religious America and you are likely to hear variations on the lofty principle featured in both the\u00a0Old and New Testaments<\/a>: \u201cLove your neighbor as yourself.\u201d But as we well know talk can be cheap. Perhaps that\u2019s why the Epistle of James calls for action: \u201cFaith without deeds is dead\u201d (James 2:14). And Judaism mandates \u201cmitzvahs\u201d (good deeds<\/a>).<\/span><\/div>\n
