I.
Sleeping is like hitting the reset button.\u00a0People die without sleep.<\/span><\/div>\n
It can make us maniacal and cut off our connection to spirit to be without sleep.
Are you afraid of missing something\u2014if you sleep\u2026? Is it something you are afraid you didn\u2019t do or didn\u2019t get to do?\u00a0And yet\u2026what part of our spiritual practice is suffering as a result of not sleeping\u2026?<\/span><\/div>\n
There is a billboard that states,\u00a0you can sleep when you\u2019re dead<\/a>.\u00a0Yet, the truth is you might die a lot faster if you don\u2019t sleep.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
This blog topic will be coming to you in two parts. This month I want to present some research gleaned rather informally from the web on\u00a0why\u00a0<\/i>sleep is important.<\/span><\/div>\n
II.
A few facts to get us going:
Sleep is a spiritual practice. Not getting it will disrupt any other\u00a0spiritual practices<\/a>\u2014including prayer\u2014that you attempt.<\/span><\/div>\n
The Society for Women\u2019s Health Research, details how women are 1.4 times more likely to report insomnia than men, and that, in general, sleep problems plague women\u00a0more than men<\/a>. Not getting sleep is one more thing women don\u2019t get enough of. We can add it to equal pay, equal representation and now\u2026equal sleep\u2014things we want from Women\u2019s Liberation.<\/span><\/div>\n
