Tony is an Army brat who calls Hawaii home. In high school he counted\u00a0<\/span>Barack Obama amongst his younger friends. He has lived in Nashville,\u00a0<\/span>Tennessee, for twenty-five years, where he writes, edits and serves as\u00a0<\/span>an educator. His training and experience are in editing, psychology\u00a0<\/span>(BA), youth ministry, and Christian education (MA), having served in\u00a0<\/span>Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, non-denominational, and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>multi-denominational churches in Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and\u00a0<\/span>Tennessee.<\/span><\/p>\n

For 19 years he worked for national agencies of the United Methodist\u00a0<\/span>Church, where he served as an editor, trainer, and project manager.\u00a0<\/span>Much of his work involved diversity training, African American\u00a0<\/span>spirituality and the writing of Africana liturgy. He is currently an\u00a0<\/span>educator at Trevecca Nazarene University, an editor for Middle\u00a0<\/span>Tennessee Health Magazine, and Nashville\u2019s Church and Society\u00a0<\/span>Examiner.
