Well when you read this: Coat Hanger Abortions Are Fine, Says Mississippi Lawmaker, Because \u2018Hey, You Have To Have Moral Values\u2019<\/a>,\u00a0 one can only conclude that in 2012 in place of logic we have religion. <\/p>\n

So let me get this straight, Bubba thinks that in order to again prevent abortions, we must go back to the coat hanger days? Is he aware that this kills the people too? Matter of fact, not only is it a barbaric way to terminate a pregnancy, but as history tells us, it may also terminate the fully grown and developed mother. Mississippi women if you have an unwanted pregnancy, then just kill yourself because they don\u2019t care about you more than they care about the zygote in your uterus. Let me spin a little logic on this.<\/p>\n

Look, I don\u2019t want people to need abortions. I think to need an abortion is an unfortunate, situation. Here\u2019s an idea, quit teaching abstinence-only or abstinence-plus sex education. Because that doesn\u2019t work and the kids with abstinence only or plus educations have the highest teen pregnancy rates in the country. Maybe because they can\u2019t use a condom. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s the difference between abstinence-only vs. abstinence-plus? In abstinence-only education, the birth control statistics are painted in a negative light, to encourage abstinence. Also, they convince kids they will get pregnant if they hold hands or kiss. Additionally, abortion and condom demonstrations are banned from the discussion. Abstinence-plus, is pretty much the same thing, no abortion talk and NO condom demonstrations. I guess they just don\u2019t lie about contraception statistics.<\/p>\n

Christian conservative states, like Mississippi are capable of passing legislation that oppresses women\u2019s contraceptive options, instead of preventing them from needing or wanting an abortion in the first place. What about acknowledging the fact that abstinence education could possibly be the reason your state is a leader in teen pregnancy. It logically follows that there will be more teens trying to get abortions, if you have more teens pregnant. And in turn, more teens will try to use coat hangers to rid themselves of the baby because they have no other options. <\/p>\n

Will Mississippi wake up, if they see an increase in the number of coat hanger related deaths? Or will they again, ignore logic?<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
