Johnson\u2019s article \u201cThe Prophetic Persona of James Cone and the Rhetorical Theology of Black Theology,\u201d<\/a> for its Religious Communication Article Award. According to the\u00a0announcement\u00a0letter, the selection committee felt that Dr. Johnson\u2019s work \u201crepresented a superior level of scholarship on the interplay of rhetorical and theological discourse.\u201d\u00a0Dr. Johnson received the award at the Association\u2019s convention in New Orleans. <\/p>\n
