Johnson,\u00a0 will present his award winning paper, \u201cThe Prophetic Persona of James Cone and the Rhetorical Theology of Black Theology\u201d<\/a> at the annual meeting of the National Communication Association.<\/a> The Association will hold its meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana from November 16-20. In addition to the Cone paper, Dr. Johnson will also present three others papers; \u201cProphetic Rhetoric as Religious Communication,\u201d The Call for a Hip Hop Spirituality,\u201d<\/i> and \u201cBishop Henry McNeal Turner and the Prophetic Tradition.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Dr. Johnson currently serves as the Dr. James L. Netters Assistant Professor of Rhetoric & Religion and African American Studies at Memphis Theological Seminary<\/a>.
