Rodgers is a writer deeply concerned with the plight of those who are treated as if they are invisible. \u00a0Lawrence\u2019s work seeks to raise awareness, challenge, and convict society to develop a conscience for the disinherited and the dispossessed. \u00a0He is the pastor of the Westside Church of Christ <\/a>in Baltimore, MD. \u00a0He is a Masters of Divinity candidate at Howard University School of Divinity where he is the recipient of the Howard Thurman and Benjamin Mays Trustee Scholarship and he is the Thomas A. and Affie M. Wright Fellow. \u00a0His Bachelor\u2019s Degree is in Biblical Studies and Ministry from Harding University where he graduated with the Most Outstanding Bible and Ministry Major Award. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lawrence W. Rodgers believes in connecting theory with practice, and emotion with action, so he is involved in several social ministries, such as work with homelessness victims, re-entry citizens, and human trafficking victims. Furthermore, Lawrence is a certified trainer with Healing Communities, a non-profit organization advocating for re-entry citizens. \u00a0Lawrence is a published author. \u00a0Most recently, he wrote the chapter entitled \u201cThe Church Must No Longer Be Silent about Racism in America\u201d<\/a> in the recently published book Reconciliation Reconsidered, he also blogs at <\/span>LawrenceRodgers.com<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
