I\u2019ve had the chance to share the songs live, and the stories behind them, a few times now. I will soon post something of a report on my present status as an artist, and all the complicated questions of branding, secular\/sacred identity, and whatnot. In the meantime, a few more generous reviews have come out (find the 19 other reviews <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/samrocha\/2014\/09\/late-to-love-round-up\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/samrocha\/2014\/09\/another-late-to-love-round-up\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>):<\/p>\n20. Calah Alexander reviews the CD in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/barefootandpregnant\/2014\/09\/late-to-love-and-audio-divina.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Late to Love<\/em> and Audio Divina<\/a>\u201d where she gives it positive marks, despite (or because of) it being \u201cbafflingly unfamiliar territory.\u201d<\/p>\n21. Simcha Fisher <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncregister.com\/blog\/simcha-fisher\/sam-rocha-sings-.-.-.-augustinian-soul\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">interviewed<\/a> me at the National Catholic Register<\/em>.<\/p>\n22. The Catholic Weekly<\/em>, Australia\u2019s largest Catholic newspaper, posted an article (PDF here: <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.production.patheos.com\/blogs\/samrocha\/files\/2014\/10\/cathw210914p08-2.pdf\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">cathw210914p08 (2)<\/a>)\u00a0about <a href=\"http:\/\/samueldrocha.wix.com\/late-to-love\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Late to Love<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n23. The latest\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/imagejournal.org\/imageupdate\/294_140925.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Image Update<\/a><\/em> calls\u00a0my album\u00a0\u201cthat wished-for unicorn\u2014thoughtful and lyrically rich, but also, dare we say,\u00a0<\/span>fun<\/em>. Simcha Fisher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osv.com\/OSVNewsweekly\/ByIssue\/Article\/TabId\/735\/ArtMID\/13636\/ArticleID\/16160\/Songs-with-an-Augustine-soul.aspx\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">writes<\/a> in a more biographical mode about my music and my life at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osv.com\/OSVNewsweekly\/ByIssue\/Article\/TabId\/735\/ArtMID\/13636\/ArticleID\/16160\/Songs-with-an-Augustine-soul.aspx\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Our Sunday Visitor<\/a>.<\/p>\nAlso, for British Columbia residents, be on the lookout for an article about <a href=\"http:\/\/samueldrocha.wix.com\/late-to-love\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Late to Love<\/em><\/a> in the BC Catholic paper.<\/p>\n*<\/p>\nThis weekend I\u2019ll be back at St. Joseph the Worker, in Richmond, BC, to sit in with the 1 pm music ministry and bring along the CD\u2019s I somehow forgot last weekend at my concert there (I had a lovely time regardless).<\/p>\nOn October 22nd, I\u2019ll be at Seattle Pacific University, playing a <a href=\"http:\/\/imagejournal.org\/page\/events\/seattle-events\/late-to-love-a-concert-with-sam-rocha\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">concert<\/a> and doing a Q&A for <a href=\"http:\/\/imagejournal.org\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Image Journal<\/a><\/em>, one of this project\u2019s earliest and more loyal supporters.<\/p>\n*<\/p>\nA month into things, we still have a long ways to go to break even.
