Our culture has come to often equate justice with punishment. But Mr. Hubbard discovered and then further developed and refined tools. These can be used to rehabilitate (rather than just punish) individuals. No matter the circumstance. Even the most hardened criminals can use the tools found in the books Introduction to Scientology Ethics<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0The Way To Happiness<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>to turn their lives around and contribute to their family and society.<\/p>\n

We are all immortal spiritual beings<\/h3>\n

The truth is that we are all immortal spiritual beings. We cannot die. We cannot be broken unless we agree to be. And the\u00a0only<\/i> trap we can fall into is violating our own integrity. We are, in fact, basically good at a fundamental level.\u00a0 The only reason we hold ourselves back or limit ourselves is for fear of hurting others.<\/p>\n

Scientology ethics technology is designed to educate a person so thoroughly on the basics of ethics and justice that they naturally become more and more ethical.<\/p>\n

As they do, they survive at a higher and higher level. And therefore seek to become even more ethical over time. This aligns with each person\u2019s true nature. And is actually a celebration of all that is best about each of us.<\/p>\n

A foundation of personal and group ethics<\/h3>\n

Scientology as a religion and\u00a0Scientologists<\/a>\u00a0as a group stand firmly on a foundation of personal and group ethics that are the vital first step in a journey to higher spiritual states of enlightenment and freedom. Unethical behavior is actually the only thing that will guarantee that a person does\u00a0not<\/i>\u00a0progress in Scientology. Higher and higher states of spiritual awareness are not attainable if a person is unethical.<\/p>\n

Not everyone is ready to operate at a higher ethical level. The few individuals who spend all their time criticizing our church to anyone who will listen have shown themselves to be unable to take responsibility for their actions.<\/p>\n

It takes courage to confront the things you\u2019ve done<\/h3>\n

It takes real courage to confront the things you\u2019ve done that you aren\u2019t proud of. But Scientology offers an incredibly safe space to be honest with yourself. And it provides every tool needed to progress towards higher and higher states of spiritual awareness. These are states that go hand in hand with more honest and ethical behavior. They are states that allow us to be our true selves.<\/p>\n

A journey of 20 years<\/h3>\n

I have been fortunate enough to experience that journey for the last 20 years. And I can tell you with personal certainty that the things you don\u2019t like about yourself are not truly you. The best and brightest parts of yourself\u2014you on your absolute best day\u2014are the true you.<\/p>\n

Scientology has allowed me to have my best day every day of my life. That doesn\u2019t mean life doesn\u2019t try to knock me down. Life is 5% what I\u2019m faced with. And it is 95% how I choose to face it.
