Toady\u2019s episode is all about celebrating the ways you\u2019re practicing Shalom in your everyday lives.\u00a0 I\u2019m joined by my friend, Abby Perry <\/a>and we share the ways we\u2019ve seen Shalom in\u00a0 the media this past month, we cheer on our listeners who shared their stories of Shalom, and we introduce our really fun #SummerofShalom Instagram Challenge!<\/p>\n

So this company is just ONE MORE WAY God is asking me to be more aware and passionate about differently-able persons.<\/div>\n<h4>I was all kinds of tearful about a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.playbill.com\/article\/wicked-reunion-kristin-chenoweth-and-idina-menzel-revisit-for-good-in-new-music-video\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">certain reunion duet<\/a> from the Broadway musical \u201cWicked\u201d.<\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"bsp-article-subtitle\">The original stars of <i data-rte2-sanitize=\"italic\">Wicked<\/i> reunite for a new, stripped-down take on the show\u2019s touching final duet as part of the \u201cOut of Oz\u201d series.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TZ0pXUb5jVU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h1>Celebrate Our Sistas<\/h1>\n<p>We had LOTS of women share with us what Shalom looks like in their lives, so we had a good time celebrating two different, Sistas, Sarah Elizabeth Finch, Sabrina, and a special voice message from a listener named,\u00a0 Jill.<\/p>\n<h4>From Sarah Elizabeth:<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><span data-ft='{\"tn\":\"K\"}'><span class=\"UFICommentBody\">I\u2019m practicing shalom by celebrating differences and unique perspectives with my <a href=\"https:\/\/sarahelizabethfinch.com\/2016\/05\/09\/marked-by\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cMarked By\u201d <\/a>series. It\u2019s something I believe in doing daily with my community group and \u201cmom\u201d friends. I love making people feel special for the things that distinguish them from others, and I hope that I keep making this a priority in my circles of influence.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4>From Sabrina:<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p><span data-ft='{\"tn\":\"K\"}'><span class=\"UFICommentBody _1n4g\">This week I\u2019ve been trying to just give where I can to offset the feelings of lack I\u2019ve been wrestling with.<br>\nSo, I bought some Gatorade\/saltines\/soup to an employee out with the flu yesterday (she lives alone). When my favorite cashier rang me up at my local Shaw\u2019s and asked me for the 1 millionth time do you want to donate to Muscular Dystrophy today, I said YES. Darn she\u2019s good. When a client calls for someone else and that someone else is busy, I take it on myself. <em>Abundance is everywhere<\/em> and all around us, I\u2019m breathing it in and saying yes this week. It feels so good<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And a sweet listener named Jill shared her inward practice of Shalom by attending therapy and then her outward practice of shalom that steamed from the recent death of her friend to domestic violence.
