In\u00a0the kitchen,<\/strong> I\u2019ve got a pot roast in the crock pot, the dishes are all put-away, and I\u2019ve conquered a pile of laundry. Go \u2018sheta!\u00a0 Go \u2018sheta!\u00a0 Go, Go, Go, \u2018sheta!\u00a0 <\/em><\/div>\n

I am wearing<\/strong> my new favorite jeans, a gray sweater I got off of FreeCycle last weekend, with my red and silver infinity scarf from The Open Arms Shop.<\/a><\/div>\n

I am creating<\/strong> a better rhythm of rest. For example, last Thursday on my day off. Once a week, my husband takes care of the kids for me. Initially he offered it to me as a Sabbath. For my husband, Sabbath looks like going off to the library and reading all day.\u00a0 For me, Sabbath has turned into shopping trips, errands, or days to write.\u00a0 But since our car, job, and house drama all converged at the same time, I haven\u2019t been sleeping well. So, Thursday morning, instead of getting some writing done or completing my errand list, I took a long walk to pray, then when I came home, I put back on my punjammies and spent the day in bed.\u00a0 The hubs dealt with my kids\u2019 misguided attempt cook goldfish in the microwave (I know cray-cray, right?) and the only time I came down was to have dinner with the famiy.\u00a0 I realized that sometimes when we Sabbath we actually need to rest<\/em><\/strong>, not spend the day running errands, not trying to meet deadlines, not living up to everyone\u2019s expectations\u2014just resting in the knowledge that you belong to God and to him\u2014you are enough.<\/div>\n

I am going<\/strong> to finish making these cute Moroccan candles to remind me of our anniversary get-away and send as a thank you gift to Elizabeth, the wonderful owner of our anniversary getaway suite.<\/div>\n

Around the house<\/strong>, it smells wonderful (yummy dinner not withstanding).\u00a0 I\u2019m using a new plug-in called, \u201cLift Off\u201d by Glade. It\u2019s white tea and magnolia.\u00a0 I\u2019m seriously thinking about buying a few more packs on Amazon.<\/div>\n

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.<\/div>\n
