One<\/strong>, I just got through doing a live hour with the guys at Archangel Radio<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Honestly, I was a little nervous about doing an entire hour about my book, but it was actually wonderful to relax and have some space to really talk about things \u2014 about, for instance, how lucky I am to have a big family, but how foolish it is to think you know the state of someone\u2019s soul based on their family size. \u00a0These guys are a hoot,<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

and they asked really good questions.<\/p>\n

If you missed it, they post the live hour segments on YouTube<\/a>; my segment should be up at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

****<\/p>\n

Two<\/strong>, the intrepid Jennifer Fitz of Riparians at the Gate<\/a>\u00a0is giving away a copy of my book, which you obviously already own, but, as Jennifer says, \u201cYou\u2019re allowed to enter and win for a friend instead.\u00a0 See?\u00a0 Thanksgiving present.\u00a0 Perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Okay, maybe, \u201cintrepid\u201d is not the right descriptor. \u00a0Here is #4 of her \u201cSeven Quick Takes\u201d book giveaway post<\/a>:<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the scoop on the book, and why you need to reform your ways if you didn\u2019t answer #2, 3, 3.5, or 3.75 correctly:<\/p>\n

(A) You know how you hate NFP?\u00a0 You use it and all, or you would, but it\u2019s maybe not the rapturous experience that you always dreamt of, when you first read the words \u201ccervical mucus\u201d?\u00a0 This book is about that.\u00a0 NFP Frustration.<\/p>\n

(B) The book doesn\u2019t talk about cervical mucus.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t have 10 Ways to Get a Better Temp Rise, Faster! Now! A Full 4\/10ths of a Degree or Your Money Back!!<\/p>\n

Most books are better if they don\u2019t include that.\u00a0 \u2013> Except if you\u2019re trying to learn NFP.\u00a0 In which case the amusing way in which this contest is being run will help you with that.<\/p>\n

(C) Every stupid thing about NFP ever. said. by some idiot who clearly has a Josephite marriage and prefers it that way (did Joseph?\u00a0 I\u2019m skeptical.), REFUTED!\u00a0 Blammo!\u00a0 In YOUR PLACE crazy people.\u00a0 Done.<\/p>\n

(D) Except charitably.<\/p>\n

(E) Downright Theology of the Body, if you must know.\u00a0 Only, it\u2019s not, \u201cI drank the TOTB water, and now I drool unicorns and rainbows.\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s more like: \u201cHey!\u00a0 TOTB Water!\u00a0 You can brew beer with that!\u201d<\/p>\n

(F) It\u2019s a short book.<\/p>\n

(G) There were points where I did not laugh out loud.\u00a0 I laughed so hard sound would not come out of my body.\u00a0 I would have rolled on the floor laughing, except that I was laughing too hard to fall out of my chair.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure it was weird looking.\u00a0 There are certain chapters you might not want to read in public.<\/p>\n

(H) We aren\u2019t doing the whole alphabet.<\/p>\n

(I) But I thought up another thing:\u00a0This book is the perfect marriage book.\u00a0 So if you know somebody who\u2019s married, or who is thinking of getting married, this would be a great gift.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been married 47.5% of my life.\u00a0 I know what it takes.\u00a0 Simcha\u2019s nailed it.\u00a0 On the head.<\/p>\n

(J) It\u2019s pronounced \u201cSim-ka\u201d.\u00a0 Like the \u201cch\u201d sound in \u201cSchool\u201d.\u00a0 Because Simka\u2019s so chool.<\/p>\n

(K) Yeah, I was saying it wrong too.<\/p>\n

(L) I didn\u2019t ask how to pronounce \u201cFisher\u201d.\u00a0 We\u2019re all just winging it on that one.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I die.<\/p>\n

So there are \u2014 I was going to say three ways to enter, but there are actually three ways to enter just on her personal blog alone<\/a>. \u00a0You can also enter at Amazing Catechists<\/a>, and she \u00a0also\u00a0talks a little bit on Patheos<\/a> about how she read my book despite having just finished a 3.5 month-long exhaustive course on Catholic sex ed.<\/p>\n
