Step 1: \u00a0sit on a bunch of coffee filters to flatten them. \u00a0Irene, 4, notes that this step is important, \u201calthough it\u2019s a little bit vulgar.\u201d<\/p>\n

Step 2: \u00a0drip some water on them.<\/p>\n

Step 3: \u00a0drip food coloring on them. \u00a0You may also do food coloring first, and then water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 4: \u00a0let it dry. The end.<\/span><\/p>\n

These dry fast and make nice marbled, stained glass effect, very cheery hanging in windows. \u00a0They look like planets. \u00a0You can experiment with different amounts and combinations of water and food coloring. \u00a0I know you can get this same effect with decent watercolors, but the kids really love squeezing the food coloring droppers. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bonus: \u00a0you get Hulk Hands for a good week or so!<\/p>\n
