There is a complexity of relationships (but nothing as poorly executed as <strong>Love Actually<\/strong>) to be explored and sometimes it\u2019s laugh out loud. Yes, there are implied affairs and some skin (mostly Jack Nicholson\u2019s\u00a0unimpressive rear) but remember: the play\u2019s the thing. Diane Keaton\u00a0is Erica,\u00a0a divorced writer of successful Broadway plays and Keanu Reeves the doctor who takes care of\u00a0Harry (Jack)\u00a0when he has a heart attack while trying to make out with\u00a0Erica\u2019s daughter played by Amanda Peet. Erica ends up taking care of Harry for a week.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana\" color=\"#004000\" size=\"2\">It\u2019s grown-up fare. However, it\u2019s nice to see people grow and change in credible ways \u2013 and middle aged people as real live human beings in mainstream media. Harry\u2019s life changes after the heart attack which is real, symptomatic and symbolic at the same time. (Towards the end, Harry does a \u201cSchmidt\u201d thing and goes on a journey where he learns as he\u00a0brings \u201cclosure\u201d to the hundred(s) of sexual \u2013 not loving \u2013 relationships he had with women for over a 40 year time span. Thankfully, we don\u2019t have to watch but a sample of women now rejecting him.)<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana\" color=\"#004000\" size=\"2\"><strong>Something\u2019s Gotta Give<\/strong> is\u00a0a tiny bit too long, but worth it. Although the film starts off about the unconventional, guess how it ends? This isn\u2019t edgy movie making, but sometimes you just want \u2013 need \u2013 a good laugh. (And Keanu isn\u2019t too bad either.) <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana\" color=\"#004000\" size=\"2\">Here\u2019s one more movie that\u00a0does the Casablanca thing:\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019ll always have Paris\u201d. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Verdana\" color=\"#004000\" size=\"2\">OK.
