illiteracy<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most powerful cultural values that affect us are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetmonk.com\/archive\/38743\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">those of which we are least aware<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter that day in the park eating lunch with the homeless, however, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tillhecomes.org\/learning-to-see-homeless-people\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">I started seeing poor and homeless people everywhere<\/a>.\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/azspot.net\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>via<\/em><\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis view forces evangelicals to think of themselves as squeaky clean outsiders, and they waste time, money, energy, and so, so many words on developing\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.patrolmag.com\/2013\/02\/04\/jonathan-d-fitzgerald\/when-it-comes-to-pop-culture-evangelicals-are-a-bunch-of-babies\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">strategies to infiltrate culture while remaining pure<\/a>\u00a0themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0\u201cNew Testament writers\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/disorientedtheology.wordpress.com\/2013\/01\/31\/isaiahs-four-sons\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">do some crazy things with their Old Testament sources<\/a>.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe fail to appreciate liberation theology because of <a href=\"http:\/\/miketodd.typepad.com\/waving_or_drowning\/2013\/02\/question-power-always-ii-the-sequel.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">1,700 years of interpreting the Scriptures from the perspective of the empowered clergy class<\/a>, rather than from the perspective of the marginalized who first received the message with such excitement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany decisions are clarified and helped by the question: 10\/20\/50 years from now, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ethicsdaily.com\/news.php?viewStory=20443\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">what choice will I wish I had made?<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cErickson has finally hit <a href=\"http:\/\/occupyamerica.crooksandliars.com\/diane-sweet\/stephen-colbert-rips-cnns-erick-ericks\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the fifth stage of conservative climate change grief<\/a>: denial, denial, denial, denial, and acceptance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf waterboarding does not constitute torture, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boomantribune.com\/story\/2013\/2\/1\/18479\/31181\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">then there is no such thing as torture<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes indeed, God made a farmer \u2026 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jahbread.com\/god-made-a-farmer-and-that-farmer-made-a-slave\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">and that farmer made a slave<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to know, just how did \u2018god\u2019 provide land for <a href=\"http:\/\/politicaljesus.com\/2013\/02\/04\/god-made-another-super-patriotic-truck-ad-for-the-superbowl\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">his <em>elect<\/em> White American male farmer?<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI could offer lots of other examples (such as the amount we spend on Christmas versus the cost of eliminating world hunger) <a href=\"http:\/\/twofriarsandafool.com\/2013\/01\/christianity-in-the-united-states-is-dead-but-not-for-the-reasons-you-think\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">but you get the point<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Unemployed Reporter Porter includes] chocolate and roasted barley malts that are\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ct.com\/news\/advocates\/wtxx-former-hartford-advocate-writer-brews-unemployed-reporter-porter-20130201,0,4560877.story\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">as dark and bitter as the future of American journalism<\/a>, and a high alcohol content designed to numb the pain of a slow, inexorable march toward obsolescence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is \u2018WHERE\u2019 magazine,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.criggo.com\/2013\/01\/this-is-where-magazine-not-what-you-think\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">not what you think<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/christianpiatt\/2013\/01\/church-sign-epic-fails-family-values-edition\/\"
