<\/iframe>\n<\/p>\u201cBefore he talked to me about comics, he gave me <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2013\/oct\/28\/neil-gaiman-lou-reed-sandman\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">something approaching an oral examination on 1950s EC Horror comics<\/a>, and challenged me on using a phrase of his in an issue of Miracleman I\u2019d written.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cFarewell to George Thomas Thornton, an American visionary who understood that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com\/2013\/11\/pieces-of-meat-passed-high-overhead\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">few dreams are worth pursuing that don\u2019t involve dynamite<\/a>\u00a0and the rotting carcasses of charismatic megafauna.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cA lot of people who\u2019ve been through my experience would be wanting their money back,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/narrative.ly\/pieces-of-mind\/nick-brown-smelled-bull\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">but my goodness have I gotten my money\u2019s worth<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/io9.com\/seven-insane-minutes-of-people-explaining-how-80s-toys-1456419789\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">It\u2019s called necromology<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/christiannightmares.tumblr.com\/post\/65270630696\/rapture-ready-christian-trucker-wants-you-to\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-18859\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/52\/2013\/11\/Rapture-246x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"300\"><\/a>\u201cIf your faith is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/kristadalton.com\/god-is-dead-or-when-professors-become-the-bogeyman\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">so fragile that the mythic bogeyman can destroy it<\/a>, then it is nothing more than a child\u2019s blanket fort easily crumbled to begin with.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cNow, it is a disgraceful and dangerous thing for an infidel to hear a Christian, presumably giving the meaning of Holy Scripture, talking nonsense on these topics; and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/livingthequestion.org\/the-contemporary-relevance-of-augustines-view-of-creation\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">we should take all means to prevent such an embarrassing situation<\/a>, in which people show up vast ignorance in a Christian and laugh it to scorn.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cWhat\u2019s needed here is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2013\/11\/05\/sorry-america-you-re-wrong-the-jews-did-not-kill-jesus.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">not just Biblical literacy, but historical competency<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cIf I were to dress up as Satan, I would probably wear a $600 suit, manicured fingernails\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.westword.com\/showandtell\/2013\/10\/satan_de_la_torre.php\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">and go as a banker<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201c\u2018That\u2019s nice Mr. LaBarbera,\u2019 replies the visibly uncomfortable manager, \u2018But\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.truthwinsout.org\/opinion\/2013\/10\/37932\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">what experience do you have making lattes?<\/a>\u2018\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cFor business, planning for a 2C world is about business resilience. Planning for a 3C or 4C world is about business and societal survival. <a href=\"http:\/\/grist.org\/article\/money-talks-climate-change-is-going-to-be-really-bad-for-business\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">It\u2019s not a world any of us should be planning for<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cHaving some liberal academic in the White House tell you what to do, and whether you can use asbestos filler in toys,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/paulbibeau.blogspot.com\/2013\/10\/get-government-off-your-back-by-hideous.html#.UnOK5VWzKpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">goes against the spirit of independence that made our country great<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cThe whole idea of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/blogs\/moneybox\/2013\/09\/04\/jedi_council_better_star_wars_references_needed.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">mainstreaming references to Star Wars prequels is pretty disheartening<\/a>. But if you\u2019re going to do it, at least think about what you\u2019re saying.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201c\u2018I love my pets.\u2019 the woman said, as if someone had questioned it, <a href=\"http:\/\/the-toast.net\/2013\/10\/23\/proud-of-preferring-animals-to-people\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">or as if this was somehow an unusual or praiseworthy way to feel<\/a> about pets.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cAdd broccoli, cover and let cook for an additional 7 minutes.
