This one\u2019s more of an e-booklet: \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Long-March-Koalas-creationist-adventures-ebook\/dp\/B0176W6SL4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Long March of the Koalas (And other creationist adventures)<\/em><\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s now <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Long-March-Koalas-creationist-adventures-ebook\/dp\/B0176W6SL4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">available at Amazon.com for just 99 cents<\/a>. (Kept the price low by cutting way, <em>way<\/em> back on cover design.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Long-March-Koalas-creationist-adventures-ebook\/dp\/B0176W6SL4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-30062 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/52\/2015\/10\/LongMarchRed-187x300.jpg\" alt=\"LongMarchRed\" width=\"187\" height=\"300\"><\/a>This compiles many of the posts here addressing, assessing, unpacking, or just straight-up mocking, the pernicious ideology of young-Earth creationism. Yet somehow it only comes out to about 84 pages. That\u2019s pretty succinct, considering just <em>listing<\/em> all the things that are wrong with young-Earth creationism would take thousands of pages more.<\/p>\n<p>But while this booklet may be short, it\u2019s also repetitive. I think it probably repeats a few arguments ten times over. In my defense, though, it repeats those arguments ten times over, but in <em>five different ways<\/em> \u2014 and that\u2019s only half as bad. (I think. Someone should double-check my arithmetic there.)<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0recommend this booklet as an excellent gift for any fundamentalist\/creationist friends you may have. It may make them angry, but they\u2019ll be angry with <em>me<\/em> more than with <em>you,<\/em> and that\u2019s fine. (Still, though, you\u2019ll have to figure out how to give them this booklet without it being creepily passive-aggressive about it. There are ways that can be done, but there are also ways that <em>shouldn\u2019t<\/em> be done.)<\/p>\n<p>The essays collected in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Long-March-Koalas-creationist-adventures-ebook\/dp\/B0176W6SL4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>Long March of the Koala<\/em><\/a>s are very slightly adopted from blog posts here, of course, and all of those posts are still accessible here at the blog, for free, with just a bit of clicking around. If you\u2019d like to save 99 cents and read them all that way, that\u2019s cool. But if you want to read them all and the clicking around bit gets tiresome, then, hey, check it out, <em>only 99 cents<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>My sales target for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00TXWK43Y\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Volume 1 of <em>The Anti-Christ Handbook<\/em><\/a> was 666, because that seemed appropriate. We met that (thank you!), so I\u2019m going to\u00a0be more ambitious with this one.
