The sense of mourning for \u2014 and the desire to restore \u2014 that world is powerful, as is <a href=\"http:\/\/hnn.us\/articles\/mitt-romney-must-decide-what-kind-america-he-believes\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the fear of what is to come in the new, far more diverse America<\/a>.\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/azspot.net\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><em>via<\/em> AZspot<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have it on very good authority that <a href=\"http:\/\/squashed.tumblr.com\/post\/22192555712\/theheritagefoundation-obamas-budget-tax-hikes\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the Heritage Foundation wants you to die<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the first two years after \u2018Obamacare\u2019 was signed, Medicare reforms in <a href=\"http:\/\/tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2012\/05\/how-obamacare-is-saving-seniors-billions-on-meds.php?ref=fpblg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">the law saved seniors a total of $3.4 billion in prescription drug costs<\/a> by bridging a coverage gap, according to official figures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think of Mr. Knight and how <a href=\"http:\/\/10thousandcouples.com\/issue\/may-2012\/article\/shelly-s-soul-boosters-to-sir-with-love\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">he helped so many kids navigate through high school<\/a> and the horror that is being a teenager.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA prominent thread running through the narratives of my gay brothers and sisters is <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkchristian.net\/the-cost-of-exclusion\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a church that no longer values them<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarris, <a href=\"http:\/\/brucegarrett.com\/brucelog\/5614\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">that wasn\u2019t a born again experience you had way back when<\/a>, it was your soul withering away to nothing shortly after you took your conscience around behind the barn and shot it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Shore\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/petitions\/christians-affirm-that-same-sex-relationships-are-not-inherently-immoral\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">petition for Christians affirming the goodness of same-sex relationships<\/a> now has more than 2,000 signatures.<\/p>\n<p>(Happy 27th birthday to Lily Allen.)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cFrom now on all generations will call me blessed \u2014 I\u2019m the one that\u2019s cool.\u201d \u201cThe Amish man\u2019s name was Umry, or at least that\u2019s what we called him.
