I had a great time with Adam in Edmonton. While we were there, we had a chance to spend some time with author and theologian Randal Rauser, who hosted us on his Tentative Apologist Podcast<\/a>. What I love about this interview, and Randal in general, is his commitment to the big questions and his respect for contrasting viewpoints.<\/p>\n

To have someone like Randal\u00a0(who\u2019s professor of historical theology at Taylor Seminary)\u00a0moderate our discussion adds tremendous depth to my and Adam\u2019s exchange.\u00a0Besides his impressive academic credentials and pedigree,\u00a0he\u2019s partaken in a similar writing\/event project with Justin Schieber in their book An Atheist and a Christian Walk into a Bar: Talking About God, the Universe, and Everything<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

We discussed a number of topics including religious and secular humansim, morality, the problem of evil and suffering, the just city, how to celebrate a spirit of critical inquiry and truth seeking, and my and Adam\u2019s shared cause in ending human trafficking<\/a>.<\/p>\n
