Psalm 45<\/a> is bewildering to me. \u00a0I can\u2019t really understand it or why its in the Psalter, but its there and so I have to respond to it. \u00a0That\u2019s one of the wonderful things about the Bible\u2013it forces us to engage with strange cultures and strange ideas and ask what this tells us about God. \u00a0It is with the passages we don\u2019t understand that we sometimes need to spend the most time. \u00a0So today, spend twenty minutes reading and reflecting on Psalm 45<\/a> or on the passage that most bewilders you. \u00a0Don\u2019t try to figure it out. \u00a0Just sit and pray with it.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
