<\/a><\/p>\nPowerful thunderstorms moved into Haralton County, Georgia last week setting off sirens and sending students and teachers at Bremen High School into the halls to wait out a tornado warning. The kids were understandably nervous and found comfort by spontaneously breaking into song.<\/p>\n
What they sang would not normally be approved at a public school, but in a moment like this, there was nowhere else to turn. With Christmas less than a month away and danger looming outside of those school walls, Jesus was on everyone\u2019s mind and\u00a0the students began singing Mary Did You Know? <\/em><\/p>\n As everyone joined in with the help from several show choir members, teacher Jessica Labbe grabbed her phone and recorded the impromptu performance. She remarked that it was perfect timing for this particular song:<\/p>\n \u201cWhen something like that happens, you worry about kids being upset, people being nervous. I have two kids of my own at the elementary school. You\u2019re immediately worried. Already running through my head, I\u2019m praying and thinking \u2013 how can I calm these kids if anybody does start to panic?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n But she didn\u2019t have to because the subject of the lyrics did the trick.<\/p>\n It was especially moving to Mrs. Labbe because she is a Christian and is the leader of Bremen\u2019s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.<\/p>\n \u201cI could feel the Spirit fill the hallway as they sang,\u201d the teacher said. \u201cIt was just a real calming feeling when they started singing that song.\u201d<\/p>\n She posted the video to Facebook along with this message:<\/p>\n \u201cWho is afraid during a tornado watch\/warning at BHS\u2026not me because i\u2019m reassured and reminded today that Mary\u2019s baby boy has got this.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n And after singing the song with lyrics that include, \u201cMary, did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with His hand?\u201d the principal announced to the entire school that the weather had passed and they could return to class.<\/p>\n Click CONTINUE to see this awesome moment:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
