I have a suspicion that at times people wonder what the heck a priest does all day. As an Anglican vicar one had to endure the endless jokes on Sunday from the cheerfully godless, \u201cIt\u2019s Sunday isn\u2019t it vicar? It\u2019s the one day you work isn\u2019t it?\u201d Haha. Yes. Very droll.<\/p>\n

7:00 \u2013 overslept because I didn\u2019t sleep<\/div>\n
7:30 \u2013 leave the house with three kids for school running late<\/div>\n
8:00 \u2013 Household with fifteen high schoolers. Attendance. Prayers. Discipline problems.<\/div>\n
8:30 \u2013 Celebrate Mass for St Mary\u2019s School \u2013 400 kids etc.<\/div>\n
9:30 \u2013 Lauds on the run. Meeting about administrative matters at school.<\/div>\n
10:30 \u2013 Household. Sandwiches. Announcements. Fifteen noisy HS boys who I love.<\/div>\n
11:00 \u2013 Details: school Mass, fund raisers, planning ahead. retreats, March for Life, pro life stuff.<\/div>\n
12:00 \u2013 In school confirmation class with 22 very sweet 8th grade girls. Natural revelation<\/div>\n
1:15 \u2013 school ends. Mingle. Network. Be there for people<\/div>\n
1:45 \u2013 Theology faculty meeting<\/div>\n
3:15 \u2013 Gather up kids. One from late stay. Two from cross country practice. Phone home<\/div>\n
4:00 \u2013 Pick up Rocinante from shop. Turn signals need fixing.<\/div>\n
4:30 \u2013 Squeeze in Vespers<\/div>\n
5:00 \u2013 Confessions at St Mary\u2019s<\/div>\n
6:00 \u2013 Counseling appointment<\/div>\n
6:30 \u2013 RCIA<\/div>\n
8:45 \u2013 Home. Chess with the ten year old. A hamburger. A glass of wine.<\/div>\n
9:00 \u2013 Blogging about Padre Pio.<\/div>\n
10:00 \u2013 Pool with sixteen year old. Talk with fourteen year old. Listen to Compline on Ipod.<\/div>\n
