Some folks across the fruited plain are wondering if their Google Home smart speakers have an aversion to Christianity.<\/p>\n

A number of users have complained that Google\u2019s popular virtual assistant can identify Allah and Buddha but cannot identify Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

\u00a0When she asked Google who Jesus Christ was, the device replied, \u201cSorry, I don\u2019t know how to help with that yet.\u201dAnd when she asked who Jesus was, the device responded, \u201cSorry, I\u2019m not sure how to help.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I found a similar religious blank when I tried to create an event on my Facebook page, and when I tried to categorize a FB ad promotion. There were loads of categories from which to choose to categorize your event, but \u201creligious\u201d or \u201cChristian\u201d or \u201cCatholic\u201d wasn\u2019t one of them.<\/p>\n

This strikes me as the same sort of blind spot so much of the mainstream media has about religion.<\/p>\n

Nearly every news story has a religious dimension, but that is never mentioned, unless of course they find something negative about Christianity. Then it is always mentioned.<\/p>\n
