New moons are exciting times, but the new terrain can seem unfamiliar and strange at times.\u00a0 It\u2019s helpful to know what to look for to confirm whether you\u2019re doing things well or not.\u00a0 The cards in this reading act as signs that you\u2019re on the right path.<\/p>\n

About Moon Cycles<\/h3>\n

Whenever there\u2019s a new moon, it starts two cycles: the one that lasts 28.5 days until the next new moon, and the one that lasts six months, until the full moon is in the same sign as the new moon.<\/p>\n

For example, the Sagittarius new moon of December 14, 2020 will have a 28.5 day cycle until January 13th, and it will have a six-month cycle when the full moon in Sagittarius appears on May 26, 2021.<\/p>\n

I use both of these timelines in my magic, and I feel they\u2019re both extremely valuable.\u00a0 The shorter cycle seems to set the stage for the longer one.<\/p>\n

I developed a tarot reading to look for signs for the next six months.\u00a0 Being aware of the signs has helped me stay vigilant to my magical intentions.<\/p>\n

Tarot Reading For Signs For The Next Six Months<\/h3>\n

Hold a deck of tarot cards in your hands and take a deep breath.\u00a0 State your new moon intentions out loud.<\/p>\n

Shuffle the cards and, using your intuition, draw a querent card.\u00a0 This card represents yourself and the best energy for your intentions through the months.\u00a0 It\u2019s\u00a0 how you will best accomplish those goals.\u00a0 Place it before you.<\/p>\n

Shuffle the cards, and in a clear, strong voice, say:<\/p>\n

\u201cSigns to know and signs to see. <\/em><\/p>\n

Six months of signs, please send to me.<\/em><\/p>\n

Symbols, people, places, and meanings<\/em><\/p>\n

To show me I\u2019m on the path I\u2019m seeking.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Draw six cards from the middle of the deck. Place them before you in a rainbow arc going over the querent card, starting on the left and continuing to the right.<\/p>\n

These cards represent signs for each of the six months.<\/p>\n

  2. Sign to watch for in January<\/i><\/li>\n
  3. Sign to watch for in February<\/i><\/li>\n
  4. Sign to watch for in March<\/i><\/li>\n
  5. Sign to watch for in April<\/i><\/li>\n
  6. Sign to watch for in May<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In your book of shadows, write down the name, the images, and the meaning of the cards.<\/p>\n

    For example:<\/p>\n

    1. December: Strength: lion, smiling woman, embracing danger, wild animal number 8, infinity sign, diadem\/crown, red curtains, mountains, blue sky with clouds, courage, power, confidence, strength<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Over the next six months, watch for these signs to know you\u2019re on the right path.\u00a0 Not everything will be a sign, of course.\u00a0 As I explain in Intuitive Witchcraft<\/a>, signs are usually either somewhat out of place or extremely in-your-face.\u00a0 For example, a butterfly on a summer\u2019s day may not be a sign, but one in late autumn might be.<\/p>\n

      When you receive a sign, look for anything else that could lead you toward your intentions at that time.\u00a0 For example, if your card was Strength and you see a lion, look for other symbols on the card, such as a smiling woman or an infinity sign.<\/p>\n

      I\u2019ve found that signs often cluster together in multiples that come through when you\u2019re in the right mindset.\u00a0 Sometimes, they can lead you toward people who can help make your intentions come true.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had several wonderful coincidences this way, including discovering a pagan festival and an open pagan ritual ritual that was about to take place.<\/p>\n

      Write down the sign in your book of shadows<\/a>\u00a0as well as what you think it means about your path.\u00a0 Take additional action according to the message.\u00a0 \u00a0In the same example as Strength, you may have to step up your magical intentions<\/a> to prove that\u2019s what you want, or you may have to be strong and\u00a0cut cords<\/a> from someone.\u00a0 Do whatever feels right.<\/p>\n

      Of course, you don\u2019t need to wait for the new moon<\/a> to have a ritual or tarot reading.\u00a0 You can use this reading anytime.<\/p>\n
