A funny little Cormac (Sixth Son<\/a>) story, which I\u2019m putting here for safe-keeping because it\u2019s hilarious and my memory\u2019s horrible and I really want to remember it and t hisismyblogsoI\u2019lldowhatIwant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We got cherries in our latest co-op basket<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sarah had given them to the boys with the (usual) requirement that they put the pits and stems in a plastic bowl, rather than \u201cHansel-and-Gretel-ing\u201d<\/a> them all \u2019round the house. (Yes, that\u2019s a thing. Yes, that\u2019s what usually happens. Yes, you should see our basement floor most days. Not.)<\/p>\n

Cormac was napping during the day\u2019s Great Cherry Debacle, so when he came upstairs and stumbled across the bowl of casualties, it was the first time he\u2019d seen them.<\/p>\n

He quickly grabbed a handful of the pits<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 because of course, that\u2019s what you do when you see something lying around and why would you do anything else?<\/a> \u2014\u00a0and before Sarah could say anything, popped one of them into his mouth. Moments later, he spat it out with that hilarious little \u201cfull-body shudder\u201d that\u2019s such a toddler thing.<\/p>\n

Turning to her impishly, he said: \u201cMama, that peanut was SO GROSS<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
