\nA Running commentary on Beethoven\u2019s Fifth Symphony from P.D.Q. Bach<\/a> (aka\u00a0 Peter Schickele<\/a>)<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/iframe>\n<p>There\u2019s something about Beethoven\u2019s 5th that makes it just perfect for this sort of thing. So huge; so bombastic; so\u2026spectatory. Reminds me of that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/curiosoperoinutil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/02\/Calvin-Hobbes-1812.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Calvin and Hobbes strip<\/a> about performing Tchaikovsky\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/VbxgYlcNxE8\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">1812 Overture<\/a>. With canons. \u2026\u201dcanons.\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/gph.is\/1jtbu7D\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Heh.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a more traditional version, by way of comparison. But it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonion.com\/articles\/2yearold-never-thought-he-would-live-to-see-giants,37320\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">happens every year<\/a>,
