Wordless, weird, and wonderful.<\/p>\n

Abel lives in the winter and Apolline lives in the summer. Isolated in their \u201cnatures\u201d, they never met each other. They are not even supposed to meet. So when Abel crosses the border and discovers Apolline, curiosity is overwhelming. Their encounter soon becomes more complicated than they could imagine. Both of them will have to learn compromise to protect the other\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For some reason, it made me think of the Persephone story<\/a>, though I\u2019m not quite sure why. Maybe it was the name? \u201cFirst Fall?\u201d (Also, there\u2019s a \u201cMaking Of,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0so be sure to check that out. The style\u2019s a bit stiff compared to my usual fare<\/a>, but I think that sort of\u00a0works in its otherworldly favor. As does the music.)<\/p>\n

And the final scene\u2019s just brilliant.<\/p>\n
