Let’s get to Wallnau’s appearance at the summit.

Wallnau was probably invited to the summit because of his rabid defense of Donald Trump. He authored a book called God’s Chaos Candidate: Donald J. Trump and the American Unraveling, after all.

This false prophet has previously compared Trump to King Cyrus (and we’ve all heard that one from desperate pseudo-Christians, at some point).

Apparently, he’s not finished insulting and smearing the reputations of honorable figures from the Bible.

In his speech at the summit, he gave a frothing address about the need for Christians to back Trump-approved candidates during the upcoming midterm election.

“This president needs to have us now more than ever. If we get behind him we will see an awakening,” he said to hundreds of social conservatives gathered, who applauded him enthusiastically.

That’s right. Get behind Donald Trump and see “an awakening.”

That should have set off some alarms in the system of Christians listening, but I’m afraid too many have formed callouses over their spiritual hearts.

“This isn’t an ordinary period of time,” Wallnau told The Christian Post in an interview Friday following his remarks.

“The challenge is that anyone who understands the trajectory of where the United States was going when the last presidential election happened can understand that the SAGE Cons, this mysterious group of spiritually active governmentally engaged conservatives who came out of the woodwork, 88 percent of them moving in unity and alignment behind Trump because of the anxiety and fear — you could say as Noah was moved with fear prepared the ark — that there was a sense of dread over the direction the United States was moving in.”

Noah was moved by obedience to and faith in God, but, let’s not quibble. There’s an adulterous conman to deify.

Wallnau, in the interview, promoted a fearful image of a nation on the verge of collapse. The midterms, based on who gets in and who is defeated, could mean our very survival as a nation, because, ultimately, only saving Trump matters.

“I think America deserves judgement. I can think of nothing more characteristic of the narcissism of our nation than believers themselves offended at the nature of the ark that God designs for a flood,” he said, when asked what he makes of Christians who find Trump’s Twitter habits and other antics boorish.

“It’s as though they are complaining that it doesn’t meet their cruise line specification for the kind of Christian character and civility that they long for in political discourse. God sends them an Elijah, who is a coarse, hairy man who evidently that isn’t very sociable. The only person he has an ongoing conversation with is his apprentice he gives his mantle to.”

So now Trump is Elijah. Imagine that.

Elijah was a man who walked in obedience to God. He was a prayer warrior, who abhorred that which was evil or arrogant, so much so that he directly challenged the evil King Ahab, and his queen, Jezebel, when she convinced Ahab to worship Baal over the true God.

Elijah had his shortcomings, as well. He knew fear and discouragement, but he never put his faith in his own power. It was the power of God moving in him and for him that was his help.

He appeared with Moses to converse with Jesus before his crucifixion, in Matthew 17:3.

Trump is no Elijah. Wallnau’s comparison of the two is corrupt.

He continued on:

The church in the United States needs to toughen up and stop thinking that they are going to have a “Christian champion” who will fight their battles, he went to say, and realize that their absence of engagement on the front lines of major battle zones has cost them so much that God has displayed mercy by “giving us a Samson” in Trump.

“What does he have? A torrid history with Philistine babes and he’s piling up people that he’s clubbing with the jawbone of an ass. And we’re saying ‘oh no, this is not what we want, we want a more eloquent deliverer?’ I have a problem with the church, frankly, because I see what Trump has done. I see the fruit. So I say, where is the discerning? I don’t care about the rough package God delivers the results in, I care about whether or not we can preserve the strength of this guy in his office while he is like Samson, keeping the gates open,” Wallnau said.

Oh, you’ve got a problem with the church, alright, but it’s not them. It’s the lie you’re trying to force on them.

So Trump is also Samson?

Samson was a Nazirite, dedicated at birth to service to God. He was an Israelite warrior and a divinely inspired leader (a judge).

Trump was dedicated to a service of conning widows and womanizing, taught the craft early from an unscrupulous father.

Did Samson have a problem with women, that eventually led to his capture and enslavement?

He did, but in his end, he remembered his oath and called out to his God for strength, in order to redeem himself and destroy the Philistine enemies that had captured him.

Of course, Trump’s adulteries may lead to his downfall in court, but I doubt he’ll be in a position to destroy his enemies, afterwards.

Wallnau, as he pointed out during his presentation at the summit has a top-down approach to affecting change for the church.

In Wallnau’s view, and that of the corrupt seven mountain mandate, Christians should leave their churches and take control of the influencing pillars of our society.

He was allowed to give a full, false teaching before the attendees of this summit last week.

At present, “the church is not motivated to decentralize and diffuse and send its people out. It is motivated to gather people in. And when you add to that the paradigm assumption that the bigger the church, the stronger the church, the more territorial and authoritative the church, the more the city and nation is affected … but the assumption was wrong, and was never corrected,” he told CP.

“Pastors are rewarded for church growth. Therefore, their focus is on gathering and growing like an entrepreneur, not in planting and maturing and taking territory.”

“Christians are now the missionaries going into the hostile pagan culture. And from my perspective we have to go around the church to the Body of Christ, not look at the leaders and court them into it.”

So for starters, the Body of Christ IS the church.

Now let’s talk about what the seven mountain mandate is, and why it is so desperately ungodly.

The “seven mountains” that need to be conquered, according to this false theology (rooted in Dominionism, a twisting of Genesis 1:28) are: family, religion, education, business, media, government/military, arts/entertainment.

Self-appointed prophets and apostles claim that there is a mandate to advance on these areas listed, taking control, and exerting influence on society from these captured perches.

Why the mandate?

Because in order for our Lord Jesus to return, He needs our help. His return is dependent on our works and efforts to overtake society, here, implementing moral laws that return to Old Testament standards.

He depends on us.

Wallnau is the top proponent of this bit of Biblical malpractice.

For one thing, he’s talking about a world coming under a theocracy. That’s not the words or will of our lord.

In Matthew 24:3-13, Jesus answers the question of his disciples, who were looking for answers to the end of ages.

Matthew 24:3-13 CEB “3 Now while Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately and said, ‘Tell us, when will these things happen? What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?’

4 Jesus replied, ‘Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I’m the Christ.’ They will deceive many people. 6 You will hear about wars and reports of wars. Don’t be alarmed. These things must happen, but this isn’t the end yet. 7 Nations and kingdoms will fight against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in all sorts of places. 8 But all these things are just the beginning of the sufferings associated with the end. 9 They will arrest you, abuse you, and they will kill you. All nations will hate you on account of my name. 10 At that time many will fall away. They will betray each other and hate each other. 11 Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.12 Because disobedience will expand, the love of many will grow cold.13 But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.’ “

In fact, while there’s nothing in the Bible to suggest times will get better and be a Christian utopia, in order to pave the way for the return of Christ, there’s more than enough to suggest things will only get worse.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”

Now, do I oppose Christians getting involved in the political, social, business, or entertainment realm?

Most certainly not! I encourage it. I support Christian businesses in our communities. I applaud politicians and other leaders who are Christian and open about it.

What I reject as a dangerous heresy is Wallnau’s 7-M theology, that suggests a theocratic path be paved to allow for the return of Christ, or that we use men like Trump as a bulldozer to obtain that goal.

I don’t know if Wallnau actually believes this claptrap, or if he’s using it to get close to power, while leading gullible Christians to sing his praises, but the idea that a top-down approach to the faith is the way to bring about a godly, Christian society is just wrong.

You cannot install a theocracy and expect Christianity to be legislated. If that’s the way you think, please, move to Iran and spend some time living under an actual theocratic government.

If you are a thoughtful Christian, you understand that our God is a heart reader. He does not want relationships that are by compulsion. He doesn’t want a government that forces people to live by His rules. He wants willing hearts that love Him and seek Him.

We don’t kill or slander or commit adultery because of fear of the government, although, there are many who fear imprisonment and can say that is a big reason they haven’t throttled someone to death.

No, we grow in the Spirit of God who was given to us when we received our salvation, and as we grow in that love, we turn from the sinful nature that would lead us to lie, steal, cheat, and do those ungodly things.

Will we get it right 100 percent of the time?

No, but we embrace our God, plead for His forgiveness and help, and we press on in the faith of His mercy and love.

No government is going to give us faith, or change our hearts.

If you truly want to see God moving and reviving society, it’s not a top-down fix that will do it. It is a bubble-up movement, where godly, faith-filled individuals act as the hands and feet of God in their communities. They teach their children to love God and be faithful to Him. Those children grow and carry that faith with them in their lives.

Bit by bit, communities transform. Like a ripple in a lake, that faith expands and reaches out, wider and wider, affecting more and more.

We’re not going to get everyone. We work for the ones we can, and we succeed by being an example of God’s working in us.

Wallnau is wrong. You want your churches to grow. You want your churches to expand and fill with souls, hungry for the Word of God. Not for a political speech or plans for taking over society, but for saving the lost.

Growth of the Body of Christ should be organic and encouraged, but we must lead by being lights in a dark world, and what Wallnau is selling is not that.

Wallnau is a false teacher, and I am begging Christians to really examine what he’s selling, and avoid this man like the plague on the faith that he is.

Why was this fraud allowed to speak at this year’s Values Voters Summit?
