There\u2019s a way of making your point with gentleness and class, especially when it comes to the very delicate situation of border security.<\/p>\n
As we speak, there are thousands of South American and Central American migrants who want entrance to the United States.<\/p>\n
These migrants are risking much to make the trek, in order to escape either abject poverty or violent gangs in their native countries.<\/p>\n
Are they owed entry?<\/p>\n
Not at all. There is a legal way of going about becoming a citizen of the United States, and it does not make us bad people to ask that those who wish to gain entrance to respect the process, and the laws of our nation.<\/p>\n
Do you know what makes us bad people?<\/p>\n
We become bad people when we reject the most basic measures of humility and grace, and reduce these people to the level of \u201cinvaders,\u201d and deny their humanity, simply because they\u2019re not Americans.<\/p>\n
