The Common Ground Sigil

The Common Ground Sigil February 14, 2019

In order to understand others – especially those who may seem different from us – it is vital that we find common ground. This liminal place is where we discover that we may share more similarities than differences with others than we think.  It is also an opportunity where we can break down imaginary barriers, unravel preconceptions (and misconceptions), and engage in communication.  That sounds much easier than it actually is, but magic can certainly help smooth the way.

The Common Ground Sigil was crafted on November 5th at Indigo Mermaid in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  This sigil was made as part of the group exercise of the Sigil Witchery workshop, and is being released as a sigil for shared magic for all to use.

A look at the whiteboard from the workshop

Built into this sigil:
-letting go of the things that prevent us from reaching common ground
-improved communication
-embracing the other
-meeting halfway safely
-adaptability
-empathy
-recognition of humanity
-connection to earth/grounding

How to Use This Sigil
You are welcome to use this sigil however you see fit that is in alignment with the intent of the sigil.  As long as it’s not used for profit/commercially, you can wear it, share it, draw it in appropriate places, make signs of it, put it on candles, use it for blessings and other forms of protection, and so forth.  You  can use it to lend support to others and bring more understanding, to aid in conflict resolution,  foster better communication at meetings and gatherings, and lift veils from eyes that may otherwise be unable to look more deeply.
