Occasionally I am inspired to write poetry. A nod to Byron Ballard for her inspiring hashtag #BetheWitch.\u00a0 I think I may make a recording of this one if folks are interested.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I Know You Are)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nTreading upon the earth
\nEach step a testament to grace
\nResounding with reverence
\nFortified by presence of mind.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nEvery word spoken carefully chosen
\nSelected for its deeper meaning
\nIntoned with your essence and
\nSanctified by sound.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nListening to the hum of the world
\nLike a spider and her web
\nFeeling, sensing, seeing
\nEvery vibration of the thread.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nKnowing fingers that work worn edges
\nTurning over leaf and stone
\nAssembling the mysteries
\nThat have been known.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nTouching symbols and tools
\nTo divine future paths
\nTurning over card and rune
\nA gaze from the past.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nDancing on liminal hedges
\nNavigating between the worlds
\nWrapped in cloak of darkness
\nYet crowned by light.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nA luminous numen of
\nGod and animal
\nEmbodied vessel of flesh and spirit
\nAnd sibling of stars.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nWeaving together blood and lore
\nA vision of confidence and creature
\nMoss-made, antler-adorned
\nMyth and magick made alive.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nKeeper of wisdom
\nBeautifully bound by secrets
\nRevealing the truth of the world
\nWith every kiss of earth.<\/p>\n

Be the Witch (I know you are)
\nConfident, watching, knowing
\nResiding in roots and flowers
\nFlying with the moon and tides
\nAs above and so below.<\/p>\n
