A Sigil to Defend Transfolx +\u00a0 A Sigil for the Protection of Transgender Rights<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\nNow that I\u2019m back from being on tour<\/a>, I\u2019m going through all of the sigils that were created in the Sigil Witchery<\/a> workshops I taught along the way.\u00a0 These sigils are part of what I call shared magick work.<\/a>\u00a0This post includes two related sigils that were crafted at different events, with slightly different focuses, but they are related and I thought best released together. What I especially love is that in every workshop, a diverse group of people came together to craft sigils for the greater good, even if they felt it didn\u2019t personally apply to them.<\/p>\n

Definitely something needed right now that more people need to know about and better understand.\u00a0 There is no \u201cTHEORY\u201d \u2013 this is our community, our siblings, our collective reality.\u00a0 Protecting their bodies and their rights is vital and should be the interest of ALL human beings. No matter how you identify, we are all interwoven.\u00a0 Don\u2019t be fooled into othering because of patriarchal bullshit and the \u201cnot enough pie to go around\u201d mentality.\u00a0 We raise everyone up, together.<\/p>\n

The first, \u201cA Sigil to Defend Transfolx\u201d,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>was crafted in the second workshop that took place in Atlanta, on October 27th.\u00a0 I\u2019m including a snapshot of the original process we did in class.\u00a0 When you compare it to the high-resolution image, you will noticed the addition of\u00a03 chevrons to the main vertical line.\u00a0 As I re-drew the sigil to scan it in, I felt those three chevrons help add more direction and urgency to the sigil.<\/p>\n

\n\u2013 You are welcome to use this sigil however you see fit that is in alignment with the intent of the sigil.\u00a0\u00a0As long as it\u2019s not used for profit\/commercially, you can wear it, share it, draw it in appropriate places, use it for blessings, tattoo it, etc.\u00a0 It can be used to defend one\u2019s home, body, or community place.<\/p>\n

The second sigil, \u201cA Sigil for the Protection of Transgender Rights\u201d<\/strong><\/em> was crafted in Austin, TX at the Scarlet Woman OTO Lodge on November 3rd. We worked over a few variations, that you can see on the board above.\u00a0 One of the students drew on the board the transgender symbol, and we did a one that uses it \u2013 which actually was a second variation.\u00a0 I ended up redrawing the bottom sigil for the image to be scanned, but you can easily recreate the combined symbol as well for yourself.<\/p>\n
