With the countless words being written about David Letterman\u2019s<\/strong> foolish, boorish and uncalled for \u201cjokes\u201d about Sarah (\u201cslutty flight attendant\u201d) Palin and her daughter Bristol<\/a> (who \u201cdid get knocked up\u201d after all, and so deserves jokes implying she is promiscuous and a prostitute by the hypocritical puritans on the left), very little is being written about Sarah Palin\u2019s pipeline.<\/p>\n

Jim Geraghty<\/strong> tweeted<\/a> it first and writes<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Back in March<\/a>, I took a look at a Portfolio article<\/a> on Alaska governor Sarah Palin\u2019s plan for a natural-gas pipeline. Among the article\u2019s criticisms of Palin was that she had effectively shut out the oil companies whose cooperation was necessary for completion of the project.<\/p>\n

One of her defenders credited her plan for bringing \u201cthree of the four key players into alignment: the U.S. government, the Canadian government, and the state of Alaska,\u201d adding, \u201cthe fourth player, the producers, are going to have to deal with that reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, today TransCanada (the pipeline builders) and ExxonMobil (one of the producers) have reached an agreement to work together on an Alaska gas pipeline<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Not bad for a stoopit, back-woods, white-trash, snow-mobiling, moose-killing,<\/strong> \u201cslutty flight-attendant-looking\u201d hick who didn\u2019t go to the right colleges and stubbornly wouldn\u2019t abort her \u201cretarded kid,\u201d or force her sluttish, teenage daughter to \u201csensibly squish\u201d her own baby (see comments here<\/a>) and who didn\u2019t have enough experience to be vice president, unlike the smart current veep (who disclosed his own safe-location) and who certainly was too stoopit and inexperienced to inhabit the Oval Office. Not bad for a \u201cmayor of a small town\u201d<\/a> who once owned her own business, and then went on to run a state, unlike our current president, who has never run anything or met a payroll, and who \u2013 with typical Bushian<\/del> American<\/del> Obamian arrogance and unilateralism \u2013 appears to have moved the Uighurs (ahem \u2013 terrorists) to Bermuda without bothering to talk to the UK about it<\/a>, once again treating one of our staunchest allies very badly, by means of his \u201csmart diplomacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yeah, we sure dodged a bullet last November. Whew<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, as David Letterman uses up what is left of his life sneering at her, Sarah Palin is going to have the last laugh, while actually serving others and having done something with her time that will have lasting and positive effect for many.<\/p>\n
