Well, Ted Kennedy won\u2019t have them destroying his pristine view of Nantucket Sound, but The Capitalists Who Are Eager For You To Obey are busy selling these posters, 2 at a clip, hoping people will paper the nation with the latest USSR-flavored Propaganda Poster, so that you and I will see these windfans, wherever we turn. \nThe People\u2019s Cube<\/em><\/a> couldn\u2019t spoof it better<\/p>\n

Yes, you can buy it at a place called (I\u2019m not kidding, you can google it) \u201cThe OBEY Store.\u201d As with the posters for \u201cconcerned\u201d rock bands currently on tour<\/a>, many, many trees are killed (the poor planet!) in order to create and distribute these so-called \u201cSubliminal Projects.\u201d The MoveOn email about them states:<\/p>\n

The reason we\u2019re selling them two-at-a-time is to make sure they get hung up all over. We\u2019re working with a coalition of other organizations on a new campaign to \u201cCover September in Windmills.\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Such busy, busy bees, they are. Tireless, obedient laborers for the collective, free to propagate their propaganda and make a buck or two on it, too! Is America a great country, or what?<\/p>\n

Ben Franklin published what was the first editorial cartoon in America,\u201dJoin or Die.\u201d<\/p>\n

I wish I had artistic gifts; there has to be a cartoon idea in there, somewhere \u2013 something involving these busy worker bees and the phrase, \u201cObey or Die\u201d.<\/p>\n
