Glenn Reynolds notes that some bloggers are re-running<\/a> what they feel are their \u201cbest\u201d blogposts for 2009.<\/p>\n

Half the time, I can\u2019t even remember what I\u2019ve written. I\u2019m always amused when my Li\u2019l Bro Thom reminds me of a line I\u2019ve written, or someone emails that a particular post really \u201cworked,\u201d for them, and I go back and re-read it and think, \u201chey, that\u2019s not bad; forgot I wrote it.\u201d Generally, the stuff I think is really good gets little attention and the stuff I think of as \u201cnothingburgers\u201d are the ones people respond to, so what do I know?<\/p>\n

There are some in my family life who will tell you that I have too successfully courted detachment, even in my work.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, for the most part I thought my writing was only so-so through most of \u201909, and I really don\u2019t know what posts might be my \u201cbest\u201d of that year. I think some of the Advent posts<\/a> were pretty good \u2013 this one<\/a> for some reason brought a lot of positive email, and this one<\/a> taught me a lot about myself. I think Thom liked this one<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Perhaps this post about receiving Communion<\/a> brought the most passionate emails.<\/p>\n

Funny how I\u2019m not thinking of the political posts at all, except maybe this one<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Really, I don\u2019t know. The best blog posts are the ones that write themselves and bring an email in the middle of the night from someone who says it spoke to them. The Holy Spirit gets all the credit, anyway. It blows my mind that He will use anything, even a silly blog, in ways we can\u2019t imagine.<\/p>\n
