In the update<\/strong> to the Top Ten List<\/a> below, I mentioned that one hymn I love, which might seem unusual for an America, William Blake\u2019s \u201cJerusalem.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n

Seems Ronald Reagan loved it, too, and partly to honor America\u2019s lately-eroding \u201cspecial relationship\u201d to England, and to honor his great friend, Baroness Thatcher<\/a>, that hymn was played at President Reagan\u2019s Funeral.<\/p>\n

Also played at that funeral\u2013as it was, very memorably<\/em><\/a> at the Memorial Service at the National Cathedral, after the attacks of 9\/11 (and that video is worth watching for another reason)\u2013was another hymn. I don\u2019t know that I have ever thought it a favorite, but there is something about it\u2026<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
